Trip overview : 

This trip is the combination of   temples, mountains, lakes ,rivers and jungles . You will be able  to figure out  what nepal is all about  and  you can taste  its  beauty .

This program will never fail to captivate  your heart and mind  with incredible sights and memories . You will begin your journey from Kathmandu  which dominates Nepal’s political, economic,spritural and cultural life.  It is often called the “ open air Muesuem” because of the unique collections of  manmade treasures/temples all over. Then you will drive uphill to Nagarkot for  himalayan panorama and incredibel surise and sunset views .  Later  We drive to  down  Chitwan  to enjoy the nature and wildlife including one horn rhinos, Royal bengal tiger , crocodiles  deers and more . Riding on an Elephant back ,   silent ride on the  dugout canoe in the Rapti river will offer you experiences of lifefime. Finally  we  go to  the lake city of Pokhara  to enjoy the himalayan vistas . Flying back to kathmandu will provide aerial views of Mt Annapurna range .

 

Brief Itinerary :

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 m/4260 ft ) .

Day 2 : Full day sightseeing  of Kathmandu

Day 3 :Kathmandu  – Bandipur  drive

Day 4 : In Bandipur

Day 5: Bandipur –Pokhara

Day 6: Fly to Pokhara and trek to Ulleri (2050 m/6725 ft): 30 min flight and 6 hours trek

Day 7 : Ulleri to Ghorepani (2750 m/ 9020 ft): 4 – 5 hours trek

Day 8 : Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani (2,700m/8,860 ft): 6 – 7 hours

Day 9 : Tadapani to Ghandruk (1,940m/6,360 ft): 3 – 4 hours

Day 10: Ghandruk to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft): 4-hour trek and 1-hour’s drive

Day 11 :  IN Pokhara

Day 12 : Pokhara – Kathmandu flght and drive to Patan  for overnight

Day 13 :  Departure !!

Detailed Itinerary :

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

On Arrival in Tribhuwan International Airport ( TIA ) in Kathmandu you will be  met and greeted by Global Asia Tours & Travel’s represenatative  and transferred to your centrally located hotel .  After brief rest  you will be taken for a quick city tours  covering  Swayambhunath /Monkey temple ( 2000 years) Buddhist stupa .  After this  we visit  (time permiting ) Kathmandu Durbar Square, the cultural center of Kathmandu valley  where the world’s only living goddess  KUMARI is housed.  Evening  Typical Nepalese dinner with dance .   Overnight at the hotel .

Day 2 : Full day sightseeing of Kathmandu .

After breakfast at the hotel  you will be met by our guide for the full day sightseeing of Kathmandu valley covering  PASHUPATINATH, BOUHDANATH & PATAN .

First in the morning we visit  to Pashupatinath  , the holiest hindu temple  situated at the bank of Bagmati river . This is one of the most sacred Hindu temple  in the world dedicated to lordg Shiva.  This temple exist to 200 years  BC  . Near the temple  we can see the crematoriums in the bank of Bagmati river  where local hindus observe the death rituals.  From here we continue to tour to  Boudhanath which is the largest  stupa in the world . It looms 36 m high with 4 paits of eyes facing th four cardinal  driections .  It was built in 5th Century  in an octagonal foundation representing Mandala ( Lotus ) .  Thousands of people from Tibetan origin live in this area  and there dozens of massive Tibetan Monasteries.  From here we  visit to  Patan , the city of  arts and architecture . Enchanting rows of palace buildings, artistic courtyards and graceful pagoda temples makes this city more beautiful. The interesting things to see here are Local Bazaar, Palace square, Krishna temple, Patan museum, stone fountains, Golden temple , Kumbheswar temple, Mahaboudha temple (temple of 9000 Buddhas) . Evening free and overnight at the hotel .

Day 3 :Kathmandu - Bandipur drive

After brekfast  we drive from Kathmandu to Charaudi , the rafting put in point and  3 hrs rafting in Trishuli river  (if clients not interested in rafting  alternatively they can  do  cable car ride to Manakamana temple .  Later after rafting  in the Trishuli river  we will have  light lunch at the bank of Trishuli river .  Later we continue driving to Bandipur, an enchanting ancient  newari town of Bandipur which is situated 7 km above Dumre Bazaar. The Main attraction of  Bandipur are its medium elevation , excellent himalayan view( Dhaulagiri,Annapurna,Manaslu, Ganesh, Langtang & more ) , relaxed atmosphere, view of Marshyangdi valley , traditional newari village .

Day 4 : In Bandipur

This is the relatively  the free day but Bandipur offers you plentiful options   to explore the local village or  hike  nearby to ThaniMai temple or  4 hours hike to  indigineuos Magar village at Ramkot (5 hrs walk r/t) where you  can  enjoy the magnificent view, interact with the  local , observe the local farming and living styles. This hike will make your day interesting.  Overnight at the hotel .

Day 5: Bandipur–Pokhara ( 910 m )

Morning after breakfast we drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara  (70kms /2 hrs )  the lake city of Kathmandu.  On arrival in Pokahra  check in at the hotel . PM : We will take a boat ride  to visit Talbarahi Temple situated in the middle of the  Phewa Lake . Evening free to explore lakeside  on  your own . Lakeside is colorful with hotels ,  lodges, restaurants, pubs, bars & shops  .  Overnight at the hotel .

Day 6: to Drive from Pokhara to Nayapool and trek to Ulleri (2050 m/6725 ft):

30 min flight and 6 hours trek .

Day 7 : Ulleri to Ghorepani (2750 m/ 9020 ft): 4 - 5 hours trek

Moring after breafast we will make pleasant  trek for several hours through thick green forest, small villages Banthati & Nangethati, waterfalls  and finally arriving in Ghorepani . Overnight at the local lodge .

Day 8 : Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani (2,700m/8,860 ft): 6 - 7 hours

Today is very interesting day  and  definitely different views . Early moring we walk up to Poon hill (3,210m/10,529ft) for sunrise over the   himlayas.

It is  a great viewpoint to enjoy the  view of nearby  towns and  see more than two dozen himalayas including Mt. Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges . Later   after breakfast, we head east and walk up  the nearby ridge. We descend through rhododendron forests, pass by spectacular waterfalls along the way and reach Tadapani for overnight .

Day 9: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1,940m/6,360 ft): 3 - 4 hours

Again after breakfast  we will walk down through the dense and  thick forest of Rhododendron trees. This area is incredibly beautiful when the rhododendron trees are in full bloom . After  few hours walk  we enter the village of Ghandruk, a slope settlement with stone houses mostly inhabited by the Gurung people ( the famous Gurkhas). Along  the trail one can have close-up views of Fishtail, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli mountain. We can  also visit the Gurung mueseum to understand history and Gurung Culture.

Day 10: Ghandruk to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft): 4-hour trek and 1-hour’s drive

Today  after breakfat we trek  from Ghandruk  downhill to Naya Pul then drive back to Pokhara.  This trail has stone steps downhill all the way to Modikhola river valley in Birenthati . On reaching Nayapool our vehicle  will be waiting to  take you to Pokhara for overnight . Evening free.  Overnight at the hotel in Pokhara .

Day 11 : IN Pokhara

After breakfast  sightseeing of Pokhara visiting  Devi’s fall from where water from Phewa lake goes underground creating a beautiful water fall . Later we  visit Gupteswar cave which is situated right accoross the Devi’s fall . We continue our city tours by visiting  the the old bazaar and visit Bindebasini temple, which is considered the most sacred Hindu temple in Pokhara dedicated to Hindu goddess Durga.  PM : We take a boat ride  to visit the famous Tal Barahi temple which is situated in the middle of the lake .  Overnight at the  hotel .

Time permiting :  Typical walk uphill to Peace monastery  or  visit to the mountain mueseums  are some of the options available  !

Day 12 : Pokhara – Kathmandu flight and visit Bhaktpur .

Later aftter breakfast , you will be transfer to Pokhara  airport in time to connect your flight  to Kathmandu . During the flight sit back & relax enjoying the magnificient views of the Himalayas !

On arrival you will be taken for  the city tours of Bhaktapur or Bhadgaon, literally known as the the ‘City of Devotees’  the most impressive heritage city/UNESCO city of Kathmandu valley  which will never fail to give the medieval  feelings . Brick paved streeets, superb pagoda temples and amazing durbar squares makes a visit to Bhaktapur  “a must” for the visitors. Walking through the  quiet streets of Bhaktapur is an experience of a lifetime .  Overnight at the hotel .

Day 13 : Departure !

Morning free for individual activities   or OPTIOINAL  mountain flight and later you will be  transferred to the airport  in time to connect your international flight . Reporting 3 hours before the flight is the standard practice in Nepal. Warm Farewell with Farewell scarf  !
