Trip overview : 

This is the window to Nepal slightly wider which will  connect you  with Nepal’s two beautiful cities Kathmadu and Pokhara . Kathmandu is famous for its rich heritage and architecture  where as Pokhara is famous for its close proximity to the majestic himalayas and scenic beauty . Pokhara is an awesome choice  and it is worth  when you enjoy the mountains, lakes, caves,  lush green vegetations & fresh air . Pokhara is the gateway to  Annapurna region for trekking and adventure.

Brief Itinerary :

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu ( 1300 m/4260 ft ) .

Day 2 : Kathmandu- Pokhara drive

Day 3 : In Pokhara

Day 4: Pokhara- Kathmandu flight . PM Halfday sightseeing .

Day 5 : Departure !

Detailed  Itinerary : 

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

 

On Arrival in Tribhuwan International Airport ( TIA ) in Kathmandu you will be  met and greeted by Global Asia Tours & Travel’s represenatative  and transferred to your centrally located hotel . Later  you will taken for the sightseeing and Bhaktapur ( Bhadgaon) the the most impressive  UNESCO city of kathmandu valley .

Bhaktapur (Bhadgaon), the literal meaning is the  “City of Devotees”. This lovely town retains its beauty by its unique layout  of brick paved streets, the 15th century palace of 55 windows, national art gallery, the golden gate, big bell, Mahadev temple, Batsala Temple, Bishnu Temple, Royal pond etc .Apart from the above we  will also visit tall Nyatapola Temple, beautiful courtyard, (you can have tea /coffee at the  historical Restaurant situated in the middle of the square). We will also visit Potters square,Dattareya Square,the national woodcarving and bronze museums, peacock window. Walking through the quiet streets of Bhaktapur is some thing very interesting .   Overnight at the hotel .

Day 2 : Kathmandu- Pokhara drive 210 Kms /7 hrs

 

After breakfast we  will drive to Pokhara  the most scenic valley situatated in the lap of  Annapurna range .

Seven hours drive to Pokhara is long  but equally rewarding   to connect with  Nepal’s roadsystem, rivers, hills & landscapes .  Enroute  there is an opportunity  to take the optional Cable car ride to Hilltop Manakamana temple .Additionally if you are an adventure seeker than the  white water rafting  at  Trishuli river  is the right  opportunity not to be missed . On arrival  inPokhara  chek in at the hotel . Later you are  free to explore Lakeside  on your own .  Lakeside  is a toursistcenter  full of shops, bars, pubs, restaurants . Overnight at the hotel .

Day 3 : Sightseeing in Pokhara .

 

After breakfast  sightseeing of Pokhara visiting  Devi’s fall from where water from Phewa lake goes underground creating a beautiful water fall . Later we  visit Gupteswar cave which is situated right accoross the Devi’s fall . We continue our city tours by visiting  the the old bazaar and visit Bindebasini temple, which is considered the most sacred Hindu temple in Pokhara dedicated to Hindu goddess Durga.  PM : We take a boat ride  to visit the famous Tal Barahi temple which is situated in the middle of the lake .  Overnight at the  hotel .

Time permiting :  Typical walk uphill to Peace monastery  or  visit to the mountain mueseums  are some of the options available  !

Day 4: Morning Excursion to Sarangkot and Flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Early morning excurison to Sarangkot  for sunrise over th Himalayas . In the clear day  this place offfers the magnificent views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri(8,167m/26,794ft),Manaslu (8,156m/26,759ft),Machhapuchhre (6,993m/22,943ft) the five peaks of Annapurna and others. Later aftter breakfast , you will be transfer to Pokhara  airport in time to connect your flight  to Kathmandu . During the flight sit back & relax enjoying the magnificient views of the Himalayas !

On arrival you will be taken for the city tour of Kathmandu  covering  Pashupatinath , Boudhanath and Patan Durbarsquare .

Pashupatinath temple is most  sacred hindu Temple  dedicated to Lord shiva . This pagoda style temple  dates back to 200 years BC  and listed in UNESCO world heritage sites .  Later we visit  Boudhanath ,the largest Buddhist stupa in the world  dates back from 5th Century . This stupa also known as the stupa of enlightement  or Bodhi stupa  .This great stupa too enlisted in UNESCO heritage list.  Now on we visit to Patan the city of  fine arts and architecture . Enchanting rows of palace buildings, artistic courtyards and graceful pagoda temples makes this city more beautiful. The interesting things to see here are Local Bazaar, Palace square, Krishna temple, Patan museum, stone fountains, Golden temple , Kumbheswar temple, Mahaboudha temple (temple of 9000 Buddhas). Evening free  and  overnight at the  hotel .

Day 5 : Departure !

Morning free for individual activities  and later you will be  transferred to the airport  in time to connect your international flight . Reporting 3 hours before the flight is the standard practice in Nepal. Warm Farewell  with Farewell scarf  !
