Trip overview : 

This trip is the combination of Nepal’s Golden “Three” Destinations popularly known as GOLDEN TRAINGLE.  Kathmandu  is the  political as well as heritage capital of Nepal with  hundreds of  temples and old palaces. Also known as the city of  Temples. Where as Pokhara is the enormous sunlit playground of  green hills, lakes, forests,rivers , waterfalls , terraced fields and magnificent mountains. Pokhara is also known as the Tourism capital of Nepal and the gateway  to the Annapurna region .  Similarly  Chitwan  National park is among Asia’s finest National parks situated in 175 kms south of Kathmandu in Terai Plain . Chitwan is famous Natural habitat  for rare 01 horn rhinoceros, elephants, several species of deer,leopard,dolphin,Crocodiles, wild boars, peacocks , Tigers and over 450 species of birds and butterflies . Enroute to Chitwan travellers can also experience the  short trek  in the ethnic Chepang heritage trails. While you are here  you will experience an amazing  jungle safari  which includes  Elephant ride, Jeep ride, canoe ride, village walk, jungle walk  etc.

Brief Itinerary :

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 m/4260 ft ) .

Day 2 : Full day sightseeing  of Kathmandu

Day 3 : Kathmandu- Chitwan drive 

Day 4 : In Chitwan

Day 5 : Chitwan – Pokhara drive

Day 6 : In Pokhara

Day 7: Pokhara- Kathmandu flight . PM Halfday sightseeing

Day 8 : Departure


Detailed Itinerary :

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

On Arrival in Tribhuwan International Airport ( TIA ) in Kathmandu you will be  met and greeted by Global Asia Tours & Travel’s represenatative  and transferred to your centrally located hotel .  After brief rest  you will be taken for a quick city tours  covering  Swayambhunath /Monkey temple ( 2000 years) Buddhist stupa .  After this  we visit  (time permiting ) Kathmandu Durbar Square, the cultural center of Kathmandu valley  where the world’s only living goddess  KUMARI is housed.  Evening  Typical Nepalese dinner with dance .   Overnight at the hotel .


Day 02 : Full day sightseeing of Kathmandu .

After breakfast at the hotel  you will be met by our guide for the full day sightseeing of Kathmandu valley covering  PASHUPATINATH, BOUHDANATH & PATAN .

First in the morning we visit  to Pashupatinath  , the holiest hindu temple  situated at the bank of Bagmati river . This is one of the most sacred Hindu temple  in the world dedicated to lordg Shiva.  This temple exist to 200 years  BC  . Near the temple  we can see the crematoriums in the bank of Bagmati river  where local hindus observe the death rituals.  From here we continue to tour to  Boudhanath which is the largest  stupa in the world . It looms 36 m high with 4 paits of eyes facing th four cardinal  driections .  It was built in 5th Century  in an octagonal foundation representing Mandala ( Lotus ) .  Thousands of people from Tibetan origin live in this area  and there dozens of massive Tibetan Monasteries.  From here we  visit to  Patan , the city of  arts and architecture . Enchanting rows of palace buildings, artistic courtyards and graceful pagoda temples makes this city more beautiful. The interesting things to see here are Local Bazaar, Palace square, Krishna temple, Patan museum, stone fountains, Golden temple , Kumbheswar temple, Mahaboudha temple (temple of 9000 Buddhas) . Evening free and overnight at the  hotel .

Day 03 : Kathmandu to Chitwan drive 175 Kms (103 kms) : 3 hrs

Morning after breakfast we drive to Chitwan (175 kms. 6 hrs).  Enroute   you can do optioinal white water Rafting in Trishuli river  or  cable car ride to Manakamana temple  .  On arrival in Chitwna check in at the hotel and activity  briefing by the camp manager . Lunch will be served .   PM :  Elephant briefing . Late afternoon village  walk /bullock cart ride  to the surrounding  farmland/viallge . Evening overnight at the resort .

Day 04: In Chitwan

Early morning wake up call and tea , coffee/cookies will be served .  Later elephant  back safari  in the jungle . During this safari  there are plenty of opportunity   to see  one horn rhino, deer, monkeys, wild boar,  bears,peacocks , various species of birds and  perhaps even a tiger . On return you will have your breakfast  at the resort .

In the afternoon  depending on the season : Afternoon: depending upon the season, elephant bathing will be held on the Rapti River, and you are welcome to join in giving the elephants a scrub.


PM: After Lunch  you will be taken for a traditional dug-out canoe on the Rapti river. On this silent river ride you will get an opportunity to view aquatic birds and see animals on the river banks. And at the end  we will visit Gharial (Crocodile) Breeding Centre.  From this place nature walk  in the jungle and back to the  resort .  Evening  dinner followed by Tharu Cultural Dance . Overnight at the resort .

Day 05 : Chitwan to Pokhara (165 Kms / 6 hrs )

Time permiting , we go for bird watching to the nearby community forest. Chitwan is the home to over 450 species of birds .   Later Drive to Pokhara (165 km)  the lake city of Nepal . Tony Hagen,  a known Swiss Geologist  who has walked over 14000 kilometers in Nepal  called it “ one of the most extraoridinary and beautiful places in the whole world”

On arrival in Pokahra  check in at the hotel . PM : We will take a boat ride  to visit Talbarahi Temple   which is situated in the middle of the  Phewa Lake . Evening free to explore lakeside  on  your own . Lakeside’s main road is a seemingly endless strip of hotels ,  lodges, restaurants, pubs, bars, shops  .  Overnight at the hotel .

Day 06 : Sightseeing in Pokhara .

After breakfast  sightseeing of Pokhara, visiting  Devi’s fall from where water from Phewa lake goes underground creating a beautiful water fall . Later we  visit Gupteswar cave which is situated right accoross the Devi’s fall . We continue our city tours by visiting  the the old bazaar and visit Bindebasini temple, which is considered the most sacred Hindu temple in Pokhara dedicated to Hindu goddess Durga.  PM : We take a boat ride  to visit the famous Tal Barahi temple which is situated in the middle of the lake .  Overnight at the  hotel .

Time permiting :  Typical walk uphill to Peace monastery  or  visit to the mountain mueseums  are some of the options available  !

Day 07: Morning Excursion to Sarangkot and Flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Early morning excurison to Sarangkot  for sunrise over th Himalayas . In the clear day  this place offfers the magnificent views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri(8,167m/26,794ft),Manaslu (8,156m/26,759ft),Machhapuchhre (6,993m/22,943ft) the five peaks of Annapurna and others. Later aftter breakfast , you will be transfer to Pokhara  airport in time to connect your flight  to Kathmandu . During the flight sit back & relax enjoying the magnificient views of the Himalayas !

On arrival you will be taken for the sightseeing  tour of Bhaktpur (Bhadgaon )the most impressive  UNESCO city of Kathmandu valley .

Bhaktapur (Bhadgaon), the literal meaning is the  “City of Devotees”. This lovely town retains its beauty by its unique layout  of brick paved streets, the 15th century palace of 55 windows, national art gallery, the golden gate, big bell, Mahadev temple, Batsala Temple, Bishnu Temple, Royal pond etc .Apart from the above we  will also visit tall Nyatapola Temple, beautiful courtyard, (you can have tea /coffee at the  historical Restaurant situated in the middle of the square). We will also visit Potters square,Dattareya Square,the national woodcarving and bronze museums, peacock window. Walking through its peaceful yet busy streets gives you the feelings of medieval atmoshphere  of bygone days . EvenigOvernight at the  hotel .

NB: If you wish to  stay overnight in Bhaktapur  to  spend more time  in this lovely city you are more than welcome  and nice and cozy heritage hotels are available .

Day 08 : Departure !

Morning free for individual activities  and later you will be  transferred to the airport  in time to connect your international flight . Reporting 3 hours before the flight is the standard practice in Nepal. Warm Farewell  with Farewell scarf  !
